The Australian Government is changing the allocation of the shared radio frequency spectrum that is used by television transmitters and wireless microphones. Analogue television transmitters are being turned off and many digital television transmitters are changing frequency. This will allow make spectrum available for next generation mobile phone services.

As a result of these changed allocations, wireless microphones operating on frequencies between 694MHz and 820MHz cannot be used from 1 January 2015.

This website provides guidance as to which AKG wireless microphone and in-ear monitor products are best suited for use in each location, both before and after the retuning of the digital television transmitters.

Please note: the coverage patterns shown for television transmitters are estimates only. This website does not take account of terrain, presence/absence of buildings/structures or any other factors that impact signal propagation. On-site testing of wireless microphone and in-ear monitor systems is recommended.
